This classy facility has fixed theater-style seating for 836, a 25’ x 35’ stage, and has terrific acoustics and line-of-sight to the stage. One of the original buildings on campus, Kendall Hall, was built in 1932. The building received extensive renovations and an addition in the late 1990s. In addition to the Performance Theater, the building houses the Communication Studies Department, as well as a state-of-the-art television studio and the College’s radio station. Kendall Hall is an air-conditioned building.

The Don Evans Black Box Theatre is a flexible studio theatre space that may be set up in a number of theatrical configurations. There is a fixed grid of schedule 40 pipe arranged in roughly 4×4’ squares over the entire area of the theatre. There is a white cloth cyc and a black traveler covering it 4’ from the wall furthest from the entrances. There is direct access to the Scene Shop and loading dock. In planning events, it is useful to keep in mind that the audience shares the space with the performers – there is no permanent separation between performing space and audience.

The Event Center, also known as Room 100, is a modern, attractive venue that can host a variety of on-campus events and meetings. With over 7000 square feet, the space can be one large room or divided into two separate rooms to accommodate a variety of programs.

The space is equipped with standard audiovisual equipment as well as a state-of-the-art movie screen and surround sound on the east side of the room. Built-in tiered telescopic seating allows guests to enjoy lectures, movies, and other events in a theatrical-style setting. This space features pre-programmed recessed lighting to control the ambiance.

The event center features high ceilings, beautiful windows overlooking the campus, light tile floors, and wooden accent walls, making it a desirable venue for banquets, concerts, dances, lectures, and evening movie showings. Leading into the event center, a beautiful pre-function space welcomes guests. This provides an excellent space for receptions, registration, and display tables to complement the overall program in the event center. Outside of the event center is a beautiful patio that can be used to supplement programs in the event center, such as a cocktail reception.

The event center is in a prime location in the building, close to a lounge, dining areas, and restrooms, making it perfect for breaks during meetings and events. The Southwest Entrance is on the walkway leading from the parking lots for commuters, faculty, staff, and guests, making it a very accessible location. With 7378 square feet, the event center can be one large room or divided into two separate rooms (100 East and 100 West) to accommodate a variety of programs. When divided, the event center transforms into two different-sized rooms, with 100 East having 4318 square feet and 100 West having 3060 square feet. The center utilizes our event furniture inventory, including stationary blue event chairs, 5ft diameter folding round tables, 6ft folding rectangular tables, cocktail tables, and staging. 100E has built-in tiered telescopic seating that can seat 216 guests. This allows the space to utilize an array of standard and custom setups.

The center has a variety of audiovisual capabilities, including standard to state-of-the-art equipment that can support a variety of functions, including lectures, presentations, and movies. The movie screen is available to be reserved for evening showings, while daytime programs and presentations should utilize standard presentation screens.

This room is certainly a hidden gem of the Brower Student Center as it is located in a quieter corner of the building with a beautiful set of windows looking out to the center of campus. This room is unique in that it has a diagonal wall that used to form the outside of the building which can be incorporated for a variety of different set-ups.

Room 225 is a large multipurpose room on the second floor of the Brower Student Center right along the Blue & Gold Hall of Fame. With 4668 square feet, the space can be one large room or divided into two separate rooms (225 East and 225 West) to accommodate a variety of programs. 225 East has 2338 square feet when divided, while 225 West has a comparable 2330 square feet.

This room utilizes our event furniture inventory, including stationary blue event chairs, 5ft diameter folding round tables, 6ft folding rectangular tables, cocktail tables, and staging. This allows the space to utilize not only standard setups but a variety of custom set-ups. The room is equipped with standard audiovisual equipment, including HDMI-connected projection and four wireless microphones (2 for 225 East and 2 for 225 West). This space has pre-programmed recessed lighting to control the ambiance of the space. There are two dry-erase boards in the front of the room on either side of the movable partition, with markers available at the Information Desk.

The walls of the space are brick with sound-absorbing wall fabric, making this an ideal location for receptions, musical performances, speakers, and even large meetings.

The south gymnasium in Packer Hall serves as the home court for the Lions men’s and women’s basketball and wrestling programs. Located in the heart of campus adjacent to Lions Stadium, Packer Hall also houses all of TCNJ’s athletic locker rooms. Following the 2017-18 season, Packer Hall was selected as a host site for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Renovated prior to the start of the 2017-18 seasons, the south gym upgrades included brand new bleachers that feature a 1,000 spectator seating area, an updated court design, and a back lit scorers table.

Lions Stadium is a premiere venue for The College of New Jersey athletic programs that is located right in the middle of campus. The stadium is home to Lions football, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse. Since it was was built in 1984, Lions Stadium has hosted NCAA regional and national championship events in soccer, field hockey, lacrosse and football. Lions Stadium also hosts numerous special events each year, including the main commencement ceremony at TCNJ and New Jersey Special Olympics. In the summer of 2014, Lions Stadium served as host to the National Special Olympics.

Lions Stadium can accommodate more than 6,000 spectators and features Trophy Turf as its playing surface. The venue, which also serves the general campus community as a center for intramural activity, features lights, a two-level press box, grandstand, concession stand and restroom facilities. The press box, which occupies the lower level of the two-level facility, includes a working pressroom of some 600-square feet, in addition to a television booth and officials’ booth. The second level includes a 450-square foot camera deck, TCNJ spotter booth and president’s box.

A beautiful baseball field located right on campus, George Ackerman Park was named after the late coach and professor George Ackerman. Ackerman coached baseball, football, and basketball and was inducted into the Athletic/Alumni Hall of fame in 1984.The field dimensions are 330 feet down the left-field line, 400 to straightaway center, and 330 feet to the right-field corner. The names of every player to earn All-American honors while wearing a Lions uniform are showcased on the outfield fence.

The track at TCNJ’s track and field complex serves as the home for the Lions’ men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams. Dr. June Walker Field is a state-of-the-art softball complex that was built in 2006. In the fall of 2012, the field was dedicated as Dr. June Walker, a legendary coach who compiled five NCAA national championships and 721 victories over 22 seasons. The facility is a treasure for both players and fans as the stadium features premiere seating for over 500 spectators. The field dimensions are 205 feet down the lines and to straight-away centerfield. A batting cage is located just outside the field of play down the left-field line and bullpen areas are also present on the home and visitor side. The below-ground dugouts allow coaches to get a field-level view of the game.
